You might have heard about how games effect peoples behaviour. But not many cases have been heard of about the effects of watching movies. Some might be good but some just plain stupid. Just like Kelly…
Here is an excerpt from the article…
“I threw the hot dog toward Tiger Woods because I was inspired by the movie ‘Drive,'” Kelly said. “As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, ‘I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger.'”
The Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the 31-year-old Kelly threw the wiener at Woods.
Not on the same level as Kelly, This next story is one which is perhaps why watching movies is a good thing (maybe we can petition for it to be compulsory in schools) see what you think after reading the article…
Here is the gist of it…
Captain America inspired a 12-year-old kid to stand up against bullies and disability!
While getting off the bus Troy was attacked by two bullies. They pushed him to the ground and proceeded to kick him. Their kicks were hard and they were to the groin. When this undeserved beating was finally over, he came home to his family. He began to tell his parents what happened. They were older boys, and he didn’t even know who they were. He didn’t understand why.
Asking Troy how he responded to the beating. He said he came home, told his family what happened and said,
“Daddy, I kept getting up just like Captain America”
Troy has embraced the story of Captain America as more than just the idea of it being a comic character or a cool movie, but an attitude and identity to hold onto and find strength in.

A movie can be inspiring and educating, but the characters in those movies are the ones that we really remember. IN any given event or situation, the likelihood is that you will remember the people in it more that the event itself. So improve your character and people will remember you more.
Perhaps its time to use some movie characters as role models, just like Troy did.
